Mill Pond Earth Day 2022

On April 16th twenty-five Mill Pond residents removed trash and cleaned up around our pond and surrounding areas in celebration of Earth Month (we need more than just one day now). Did you know that your neighbors collected over 200 lbs. of trash in just one hour? Someone even found a submerged bicycle hidden at the pond’s edge.

A hearty thank you to everyone who made the effort to help out—what a great team we had! Many folks mentioned that they pick up trash along the RiverWalk on a regular basis, which is fabulous. Keeping the RiverWalk clean helps prevent items from being blown into the river and then carried out to the ocean; protecting our precious environment makes life better for us and future generations.
